Hatice Sultan (daughter of Selim I)

Hatice Sultan (1496–1538) () was an Ottoman princess, daughter of Sultan Selim I and Ayşe Hafsa Sultan. She was the sister of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.
==Biography==
Hatice Sultan was born in 1496. First, she married Iskender Bey who died soon thereafter. Then, she married Pargalı Ibrahim Pasha, who became the Grand Vizier in 1523 and remained in office for 13 years. In 1536, Pargali Ibrahim Pasha was executed by Hatice's brother (Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent), and his property was confiscated by the state. The couple had two children. They lived in their palace in Constantinople. There are speculations that Hatice committed suicide after grieving for her husband. She died in 1538.
